OK I understand the difference between BLP and BLD, but how can a URL have zero for BLP but yet 700,000 for BLD. This doesnt make sense to me

Anyone
ecommerce sites usually have that. lots of backlinks overall but none for obscure product pages.

It simply means that there are no backlinks pointing to the individual page. The BLD means that the backlinks point to the home page if the BLP is 0.
This is very common.

BLD = Backlinks pointing to the domain as a whole (www.abc.com)
BLP = Backlinks pointing to a specific page for the domain (www.abc.com/make-money)

Yes that makes sense now thanks

ok so if the majority of the top 10 results in google have 0 BLPs, but fairly high BLD (mostly orange with a few greens) is this regarded as fairly low serp competition?
thanks
I hardly ever look at BLD when choosing a keyword.
All I look at are:- BLP, PR and on-page seo.
Are these low to zero BLP pages easy to outrank?
