Is this a Google Penalty?
Hey guys,
My site was ranking at the 11th spot for more than 2 weeks. I was slowly building links for it, but it remained at the same spot. So yesterday and today I blasted a few hundreds of links on auto approved do-follow blogs and so my website went down to 43rd Spot for the targeted keyword.
Is this a penalty or just google dance? A day has been passed and I see no change in the ranking. And I can see only those pages lost their spot which I blasted with SB and the rest are alright ?
Appreciate your replies.

Re: Is this a Google Penalty?
IMOP its too soon to tell.
give it a few days. if after a week it stay in 43 or worse, its probably a penalty.
when you blast, did you really mixed the anchor text kw? add many random anchors like "click here" or "here" or even the site url as anchor?

I used homepage and various posts with a number of related keywords to post comments.
I think you're right, I should wait a few days more. :/

probably just a dance, but other factors we dont know about such as domain age might play a part, i wouldnt sweat it dude

Re: Is this a Google Penalty?
This 11th spot thing is something I see often, it's caused by anchor text over optimisation. Get some backlinks without relevant anchor and the problem is fixed.

for next time:
my recommendation is:
1. 1000 spun comments. will give you about 10000 - better spin phrases and also words. - more unique. - you can buy in fiverr or harvest comments
2. 1000 keywords as anchor text. add some misspelling keywords.
3. use about 500 urls - include your 1 and 2 tiers.
that what i do for a half a mil list in fast poster.

Just keep building HIGH quality backlinks at a more natural pace and even if it is a penality, it will bounce back soon enough.

Re: Is this a Google Penalty?
Ooooh if you said anything but the 5th page I would say its a dance.
Don't know if you got a -50.
I would just do some AMR blasts for some quick results and see if you move up.
I'm always concerned when sites land in that 40-60 range.
If you blast it and it doesn't move up you may have some problems.
P.S. I would probably stop spamming it with blog comments too. You're gonna need some better quality links.

My site is still on the 41st Spot (Sorry it was not 43rd).
AMR stands for Article Marketing Robot?
Better Quality Links? Like High PR Profile Links, Bookmarks, Wiki Links?

Re: Is this a Google Penalty?
Google is really cracking down on low quality, that includes both content and link building. I think in the next year or two low quality websites will be unable to rank full stop, the internet is just to competitive to be building low quality sites. For every person who just doesn't want to put the effort in, there's another 3 people who will. Being first, being smarter or cheating just aren't enough any more you now have to be the highest of quality.
