My current plan/hope is to get a niche/keyword that I want to develop a site for, start using Fiverr for the service I plan to offer through the site, and learn SEO to steadily build the sites ranking to eventually have on front page of google.

I was reading through some of the threads on BHW and on Warriors and to be honest I am now considering just outsourcing various elements of the 'plan' to make life easier and more efficient. I was hoping to get some good honest advice on these topics if possible please:

(context: the niche is online service, little involvement, just provide a report to them based on some user-input- sorry thats quite vague)

SITE:
1. Wordpress- Do it myself, seems easy enough, although not sure if that is the best platform.
2. SEO- looks quite expensive to do myself, and looking at Fiverr there are a lot of cheap options, but does it work? How expensive is it going to be (how longs a bit of string eh?) And is it worth to learn it myself, although I really have little time to get good by myself and little money (although I earn an average salary in the real world so could afford modest weekly payments).
3. Advertising- adsense I have never profited from regardless of what I am doing, just seems so expensive some times. Other options?
4. Domain- which provider/hosting plan would you recommend, that is the best value? Thinking godaddy.

So basically, thats it, I hope to hear some good advice.

1) Wordpress is a great platform with tons of plugins/themes to help you design a site.
2) Learn SEO since it can help you in the long run. Once you learn it you can always outsource backlinking.
3)Go with adwords, adcenter, organic. PPC is all about testing. Making some landing pages to get some leads and you can try to convert them from there.
4)Go to namecheap for your domain and get hosting from hostgator.

Hello, thank you for the advice. I was wondering whether wordpress would give me enugh flexibility for what I want to do, which is basically have a clean landing page which is split into 2, the first section about a quarter of the page with a userinput bar to put their information which then queries an alexa ranking record and then displays pricing details and allows the user to go to checkout.

It that going to be something that can be intergrated with wordpress, or am I better off using a platform like php?

Well, php is a language you use and Wordpress is built onto PHP. But I think you might need something custom. You can probably code a wordpress theme that does this because I don't think there are any wordpress plugins for this.

But yea, you can either do wordpress and code a special theme, or code something from the ground up.

I'd advise you to do the custom theme for wordpress because you won't have to worry about security, etc.

Ok, can you recommend any sites to try to find a coder that might be capable to do something like this? Is anyone on BHW any good that you know of?

I'd recommend myself :P. To tell you the truth, I don't know any coder on BHW that does this, but you can always check out freelancer (dot) com or rentacoder.
