Hi guys

I recently got a couple of very harmful reviews about my business (I can only presume its a comptitor trying to screw me over!!!) on three sites. Namely google places, freeindex and qype. << all UK based.

I have filled in a form via google to hopfully consider removing the review.
But the other two (freeindex and qype) I am able to terminate these two accounts and start a fresh.

My question is, if i terminate these two accounts and re-create them, will it effect my google places placement? At the moment I am 1st for my business keywords as I show up in the Google Map as No1.

I am worried that removing these two very important citations might do my serp postion harm.

Am I right in thinking this?

That's a good question, and I have to say upfront I have not done this or had personal experience... however, I think if you have a good number of citations, I wouldn't think removing 2 of them will hurt anything. Citations are most important when the listing is fresh. If you're worried about it, I'd created a number of new citations... interesting situation.

Reputation management.

Usually you cant remove the reviews except counteract them with some positive ones , Also create some Web 2.0's and rank them so you can regain the trust

Removing citations and replacing them has not affected the sites I've worked with.

intresting situation!!! its not at all! its a royal pain in my ass! and its potentialy ruining the reputation I have worked hard for over many years!

Thanks for the replys. I think i am going to give it a few days breather before removing those two citations.

I have 9, 5 star reviews on google maps too. All genuine I may add. I always ask my customers if they dont mind giving me a review on google. Hopefully google will take those in to consideration.... or maybe not knowing google!

The negative is written in such a horrible way! Nothing at all what my cpompany stands for.
