blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
hi guys,
one of my site recently ranked #2 for a 49,5k keyword.
now i am just wondering if i can xrumer/sb blast my competitor who is on #1 for over 2 years there... (the whole site is 5 years old.)
just to get him dancing for a few days or weeks...(__not sandboxing__)
i would just move up to #1 for a few days and make 3 times that money, so could be worthwile imho...
just wanted to share this...
what do you think ?

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
Scrape all the porn/racist/gambling/pharma links you can and add his there. That'd be your best bet, but chances are he'll come back stronger than before.

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
Not matter what, even if you backlink him with osama bin laden's site a backlinks is a backlink - so rather than concentrating on his site, make constant links for your site in a large quantity daily

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
From everything that I have seen you will only boost the ranking of your competition by blasting them. One study I did was have many people on BHW blast one of my sites to pieces and it just moved up in the rankings by leaps and bounds.

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
There has been many case studies for this. It depends on the keyword tool, btu most likely if the site is already established on Google, you won't do any harm than you will do good for your own competitor's site.

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
I love how people think they can do this.. you will make him dance yes until google is happy with the new link velocity and then he will be un-asable from that point on you will just boost his rankings. Happened to a friend about 1 month ago and now he number #1 and his main backlink keyword is porn LOL. People like you make me sick. Instead of making your site better you try and attack the competition, true coward!
GOING GOING GONE!

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
I'm sorry, but I'm just getting sick of all of these threads. Every day someone has this "brilliant" idea to blast competitor's sites to hurt rankings.
You are simply opening up a can of worms here. Yeah it works in some cases, but spend that time and energy in making YOUR site better.
If he is smart, and privy to any form of blackhat, you are just going to get into a nuclear war where in the end both of you are fucked.

I DO NOT WANT TO HARM HIM OMFG !!!

i want TO MAKE HIM DANCE a little bit AND not to sandbox.....
is a google dance a harm in your opinion...???
it is just an idea... maybe i want to do a case study for that
i absolutely understand that i have to work on my site and not on others...

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
In my tests, blasting authority sites helps them rank blasting tiny sites causes them to dance / lose rankings.
All links help towards PR though. So keep that in mind. Eventually they do come back stronger.

A google dance is when google reevaluates the links and generally the site comes back stronger.
So you basically want to make your competitor's rankings stronger? That makes little sense to me.
I wish I had competitors like you.

If you are going to blast sites to hurt them, please shoot me a PM and I'll give you about 9 sites that I own that suck those links up like the latest Kirby vacuum cleaner and be as happy as the latest 200 Million $ lottery winner.

So true. I am in a niche where a blackhatter is trying to ruin the top results in the SERP's with bad backlink anchor text like porn and many variations of the porn keyword. However, it is not working for him. The site in the number 1 spot has a huge % of backlinks that have junk text in them. Talk about a strategy backfiring.
OP, it is kind of low to even think about pushing a site down, instead of pushing your own site up. Just think of the guy who is ranking #1. He might be a family man who might have worked his heart out to get that #1 spot, to make things better for his family and here you are, talking about shooting his site into oblivion. Don't be bitter about not getting the top ranked spot. Work at it. It might come, it mightn't. Just deal with it.

Agreed!
And in the end, if the site is already ranking #1, or even #2, #3, etc.. chances are, those links are going to help them more than hurt them. The only sites I really feel you could hurt by blasting are sites lower in the SERPs. And what good would that do?

he is already on #1 for over 2 years so there is nothing to make him stronger...
i do the blast by myself so there are not big costs for me... after that i can also blast my website twice with that list...

read my post again... i am not pushing his site down.. i just want to see if i can get #1 for some days...to make some short term money... the guy on one is a pro.. i know him...
i give him some links... and in addition i get #1 for some days and a nice case study for myself and he will return to #1.... giving and taking...reciprocity...
i was not even thinking about really harming the site... i have another mindset in stuff like this.
Thanks for sharing guys anyway.

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
Concentrate on your own site. With the length of time that your competitor has been ranked #1 those links will likely end up helping him.

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
novel92: You should never attack competitor's sites. They got there through hard work. If you want to rank higher than them, you have to do what they did to get there, but better. Work harder, build better backlinks, write better content, make sure your website is faster loading, etc.; all you're going to do is make it harder to out-rank the #1 guy in the end.

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
I completely agree with "the demon"... blasting a well established site will do nothing but help them. Blasting a newer site very well may sandbox them... or worse.
I know lots of people hate these threads, but I think this strategy does get used from time to time, it is blackhat, and this is a blackhat forum, so I don't think its crazy to talk about/discuss this.

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
i wouldnt suggest doing that. it will help more than it will hurt.

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
well stop talking about this case study and just do it so we can all see what happens...my guess is that he won't even dance for a day...

OP, you can not stab someone in the back and say you dont mean to hurt him. you tried to hurt him, but could not hurt him, period.
BTW, i am tired of doing backlinks (even with bots) to hundreds of money sites. so count me in your list, pls.

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
Get hosting / server at the same company he has, and request IPs that are same.same.same.x or same.same.x.x and make 5 shit sites and interlink them along with his website and blast the shit out of all of them with the most random crap ever. I'm talking PR N/A directories with 100,000 links, porn, gambling, blog posts with 10,000 comments to every shit hole we have on this internet, etc.
This is of course, you are trying to rank for a mega hard keyword and just can't beat the #1 guy. I know for a fact, interlinking with same/close range IPs is what KILLS websites.

Re: blasting competition to gain the #1 spot
Sounds like you've already made up your mind to do this, so please do share the results.
I'd be interested in hearing how long you were able to gain #1 and if you needed to exponentially hammer your own site to maintain #2.
