Re: EMD .co Vs Hyphenated .net??
G00gle does not ignore hyphenated (–) terms. If G00gle encounters a hyphen in a search term, like make-money-online, it searches for the term:
1. with the hyphen, e.g. make-money-online
2. without the hyphen, e.g. makemoneyonline
3. with the hyphen replaced by a space, e.g. make money online
You will not get the same EMD benefit with a hyphenated domain as with a non-hyphenated domain. If you really want an EMD, then preference would be: .com, .net, .org. If these aren't available, then add a meaningful suffix or prefix, e.g. makemoneyonlinetoday. com.
The final point to note is that having an EMD is only one of over 200 factors in G00gle's algo, and can typically be used for long(er) tail terms. Don't get too hung up on it if you can't get it, especially if you are building a long(er) term brand.
