well this is very depressing nes, when i finally got a site to #2 this morning, google decided to take me off? Does anyone know why this would happen?

Panda 3.2 was just released... I've seen insane (good and bad) movement on various sites of mine. Patience is a virtue. Try just waiting it out for a week. Then focus on building high PR backlinks.

Yea, if your logged into your Google account than your rankings are based on what you view. So if you viewed your own site like 5 times then they will display your site as #1 or #2.
Either log off and try again and/or disable recommended results in your profile.

Most people including me use Chrome or firefox and never Iexplorer.
My senuke uses iexplorer but cache and cookies always get cleaned..
So if you are one of us you can use iexplorer for your google ranking checks.
Or get market samurai (recommended)

My site has been dancing like crazy lately. Traffic stays the same though, only slightly lower. -_-

Similarly, I added some steady backlinks to a page and it rose steadily. Bored, I then blasted the hell out of it with some spammy sites and Google did a merry dance. It fell like a rock but a few weeks later it bounced back to the first page.

It takes time and make sure your logged off Google when checking your rank.

This explains why my website has been getting more visitors. The new panda update got me a boost in new visitor =)

have you check your site in Alexa.com I am sure that place can give you the idea how popular your site is.

Yes I have had an influx of visits since the last panda too.
Just focus on providing quality content with very few adds above the fold and an easy to follow site architecture and you will benefit in the long run.

Can I take a wild guess and assume most people that saw a decrease in rankings were owners of adsense sites .

I guess the new panda 3.2 update affects rankings based on per page layout. If you have ads and distracting widgets up top be sure to switch that around. Make sure your content is heavy above the fold.

I have been helping this guy out and know exactly what site it is. He was #2 but it's a brand new site OP, it's only like 1 or 2 weeks old. Just keep building links and you will be good, you don' t have much competition so you'll be fine. Your site is just dancing, don't worry. Work on other sites at the same time and build those. SEO is long ass process.

One of my newest sites just experienced this. It was enjoying #3 for around 1 week and was making money on CPA then just last Tuesday it dropped to 400+. The next day it moved to 140+, then 60+ then moved back to 140+ for these last few days.

It literally killed my enthusiasm. LOL. I thinking whether the last service I used did it or because of the traffic source I'd just ordered. I don't know. Anyway, I just decided to stop thinking about it and the hell, I'll just focus on my 4 new sites.

I'm not giving it up though. I have drip feed of backlinks for it everyday though I'd just decide not to check its rankings anymore.

Lesson learned for me. Not to build links too fast especially for less than a month old site. I prefer stable rankings rather than dancing too heavily that I don't have an idea when it is coming back.

New sites tend to jump them sink after a couple of weeks while google reevaluates the site

I never bother linking a brand new site until a couple of months is
up, this gives you enough data to see what keywords may be the best for you
