Default Have I found my first good keyword?

    Hey,

I was writing some articles for a client the other day, they always give me a top and i write 5 x 500 word articles based around the idea.

Whilst doing it I found a keyword with monthly searches of 9900

    US - 1900
    UK - 800

    and velow/medium competition.

Only the .com has been take (.org, .net and .co.uk still available)

What do you guys think? There is quite a few other keywords which you could also target that are low competition on the same subject too.

Edit: Also the .com exact match isn't in the top 10 on google, Only the 10th ranking website has one of the words in the name.

Is this going to conflict with your clients site ?

I'd be livid if I was paying you to provide a writing service for my sites, then to find out you are competing against me in the same niche/field.

If that is the case, you'd lose that client. ( If it was me, I'd make sure word quickly got round what you had done to me, so you'd lose possible other existing clients or potential future clients too )

If this isn't a conflict, then go for it.

Go Daddy have a promo code on if you buy using a credit card.
COOLDOMAIN is the code and I registered a nice EMD this morning as a .com and it cost $1 and I was offered the .info for 49c so my outlay was under $2 for 2 domains.

    Sounds like a decent MNS.
    First a few things:

    What's the CPC?
If above $1.25 I'd go with it.
Assuming you get 40% of all the traffic from US
760visits/month with 2% of clicks to adsense You'd make
    ~19 USD a month

Covers hosting for a basic package to hold about 20 MNS

    Worth it- Yes
Is there an affiliate product associated?
With low traffic you might have a better chance to convert with sales especially if it is a review keyword. Using the same number but with a 2% sales of a 29.99 product we'll have you making: $455 USD/month

Worth it- Yes if it will work for this scenario
Is the advertisers' competition high or medium?
    If not:
Check affiliate programs. Otherwise pass on Adsense.

Sounds like shops keyword to me. But I agree, be careful that it's not going to put you in direct competition with your client!

Oh Sorry, That was adwords competition.

    the search competition is Low.

The Approximate CPC on Adwords is $5.95 o.o

also just to throw it out there this does not conflict with my clients site at all, i'd never do it if it was going to. It was just merely a scraped keyword that looks intruiging.
