I have a few links that I pay for on a monthly basis (blogroll mostly) probably accounts for a few thousand backlinks. They are high quality links with low max links per page.

Thinking about getting rid of them for a cheaper alternative.

Just wondering (apart from anchor text etc) if a fluctuation in links to my site is going to have a negative effect?

For example if 2000 links dissapeared, and then 2000 links appeared on other sites, would google flag this up?
