Hi Guys

I already have a few small websites making me small amounts of money, but I want to expand

I have just made a new micro niche site and the main keyword which is EMD has an exact local search of 2900 each month

The site makes me about £0.80 per click in adsense and I have 4 other similar keywords which bring the total searches to about 7k exact match each month

How much should this site make me per month if I was to get all 5 keywords in the top 3 of google?

The reason I ask is I have someone who is guaranteeing to get my site to the top 3 for all my 5 keywords for £100

So I want to see if this is worth doing. If all works out well I could build a new site and out source the SEO, then rinse and repeat

i don't know how much you can expect to make since i dont have much experience in MNS but that seems like a pretty fair price if they are guaranteeing it. It would only take a little more than 100 clicks for cover that cost and i would assume if you were ranking top 3 for 7,000 searches you could make that back pretty quick

I pay 50% when they all reach top 10 then another 50% when they hit top 3, until they are in the top 10 I pay nothing

Sort of win win, but only if I make the money back from the adsense

Not enough information, we need to go deeper. Let's take a look at those keywords so we can give you an estimated turn around time and price. You may be charging too much. Let's get those keywords ranked #1.

Thanks for the advice, but I'd rather not give my keywords out. I mainly wanted to know how much return I could get back based on the information I gave.

Basically how long will it take to get my £100 back!! lol

Don't share you niche or keywords on public forums unless you want more competition..

I agree you should be wary of people guaranteeing certain rankings. Let them show you a bunch of sites they worked on that have such rankings right now, at the very least. As for how much you should be making, a lot depends on how clickable the adsense kw is as well as the ad placement on the site, as well as the rankings. Assuming a 2.5% CTR for ads on the site, and an average 20% CTR for a top 3 ranked word on the search page results, the popular formula is:

Exact searches per month X 20% X 2.5% X CPC = $ month

So, a top-ranked keyword with about 3000 SPM at £0.80 per adsense click, should create about 600 site visitors/month, leading to 15 ad click thrus, and thus 12 pounds ($18) earnings per month. Times 5 similar kws total, the site in theory should making 60 pounds ($90) a month. It's not that scientific or exact in reality, but the math sets up a ballpark goal.

Thanks zebrahat, that was the exact information I was looking for. My plan was to build 10 of these sites which I could do in my spare time in about 2 week, this would give me about £600 a month as a bit of extra income, provided the site all kept their rank etc
