First of all I like AMR and I think it's a great tool. However I have proof now that using AMR directly on your money site is not recommended (at all).

Short story: a few weeks ago 4 of my sites were penalized and I made a reconsideration request on all 4 of them. Of course they are were rejected so I have written them again with more details. Few days ago they finally replied me (this is the first reply from google in 5 years ).

Here is part of the email I got from them:

"Specifically, look for possibly artificial or unnatural links pointing to your site that could be intended to manipulate PageRank. (...) 
To illustrate how these articles could apply to you [they mean google quality guidelines], here are examples of pages that contain inorganic links to your site: [they posted examples from which one is an AMR article]"

They tend to be really helpful now. They post links and even the anchor text. I replied them again and they answered within 72h.

I decided not to post a screenshot of this email because I am still trying to recover my rankings and I don't want them to know that I am sharing this info here.

It's not only AMR, it's all "unnatural" (ie., self-made links). Web 2.0 tiers, blog comments, articles.. It's actually really obvious, even more so for them as they check for such every day.

Best you can do is hope that Google doesn't review it, or if they do, let it pass.

Also, in US and some other countries you can also target Bing and get 30%+ market share and wealthier demographics. It's worse if you're doing local seo in a country where 99% of people use Google :P

- Use quality spun content?
- Spin title, bio, signature, links?

Apart from the 4 penalized sites, do you have others that you used AMR on, that weren't penalized?

its unnatural links... not AMR if u blast with amr, then u should have have 100% relevant article and closely related category.. by this way link will look natural.. i dont think using amr with related article will kick ur site...

Well, have never heard about that, many of my sites rank on the first page of google with this kind of backlinks. If all those seo methods useless, how could ones promote their websites? Just cannot believe that at the moment, wait until there are other reports. It's true if you create loads of unusual backlinks with this method.

I can confirm... my site dropped from top 20 to 300+ after amr blast.
I blasted to PR 1 and above sites only with more than 80 percent health...

Load of bollocks. AMR blasts are ranking all my websites that I'm currently working on.

If you believe everything Google tells you then you may as well give up now.

Yeah, something about this doesn't seem right. As another member said, this would cause havoc as everyone could just nail eachothers sites out of the SERPs.

Are AMR links the only source your backlinks come from? No web 2.0, no blog comments, no bookmarks? Then maybe that's the problem.

Tbh I don't believe anything google said. Call me paranoid, but I always got a feeling that they misinform people intentionally. And it makes sense. They clearly don't want us to know what improves rankings and what not.

Where in the article did you put the link? I don't think it was the tool but how it was used. If you don't weld where the 2 pieces of metal come together, it's not the fault of the welder that they do not stick together.

I think we need more details before we can place the blame on AMR or posting links to your money site in articles in general.

Was it the same article?
What is unique?
Was is readable content?

Here is a tip, submit high quality spun content. It takes longer to produce but it will save your arse.

The problem was not and is not AMR, the problem is the terrible strategy of using poorly spunned content.

Alright, I just bought 5 rounds of AMR on fiverr for my competitors.

Mostly it only happens when you start going in private networks . Google can see private networks trying to point to only certain number of site .

Nothing happens with blasts , might be google dance YES.

Any linkbuilding you do is against Google rules. If you would have Scrapebox blasts or bookmarks from BMD or any links from blog network same would happen imo. So probably every site that has backlinks made with any kind of software wouldnt pass manual review. But i always thought they only check on page factors when doing manual review.
So i would just act stupid and say that i have no idea about those articles and that competitor tries to harm me.

penalty is for your on page seo, keyword stuff, hidden kws, adult, spam external links, spam/spunned/low quality content...

Well if the sites are new and you blasted them with tons of backlinks you can get "penalized" .. if you're building links "smart" i doubt you'll get penalty.And again it will not be penalty exactly it will be more "sandbox".

Google is the MASTER manipulator of SEO. They stack up everything in their favor and then attempt to use THEIR rules to rake in the cash by any means necessary.

Have you looked at the companies Google has bought this year, thus far? Have you examined the SEO rules they are setting in place and then put on your critical thinking caP? Once you examine those areas, you will see a clear pattern emerging.

Google is out to control all avenues of Internet Marketing and squash all those who are not generating income for THEM. That's why they hate Affiliate Marketing that does not go through their money machine.

If you can imagine a spam/f'd up linking technique then my test sites have been at the receiving end of those. They have never been penalized. I've had sites penalized before, but it had nothing to do with linking (I know for an absolute fact).

So if spamming your money site with blogs, articles, and everything else would penalize it then I stand amazed at how my test sites still rank.

Ask them what you can do to protect youself from such backlinks because you dind't made them ?!

This has got to be the shoddiest scientific experiment in the world. So google gives you a number of links and one.....you said one, is from an AMR blast.

The conclusion: out of 10 links one is from amr, so ipso facto, amr is bad.....

Statistics is important for SEO and if that is how you did the stats, no wonder your sites are in trouble.

You fail to tell us a lot of things. What is the age of the domain you are blasting? What is the quality of articles on the site? what other link building strategy are you using? Actually if you only use AMR, I would ban you myself.

I use it with my clients and they are happy. Its not not the game, its the player and I have major doubts on how good a player you are when you come with such haphazard conclusions.

This is what is missing in IM. At the present, we have a myriad of IMers who have never tested anything. They have never rode a SEO wave and have no idea how to handle one.

The first sign of a problem and they are in panic mode, rant mode, give up mode or raise the white IM flag mode.

AMR is considered as a spam software but to get decent results you should use quality spun content, you have to spin everything titles, anchor, bio, use different link placement and different articles length and more importantly use that fucking sheduler

This is utter crap, and scaremongering of the worst sort. There are SO many factors that could have affected this that I'm not going to even start listing them.

I strongly urge everyone to carefully read all the informative posts on proper AMR useage and link-building in general, as this post could lead you to avoid methods which will continue to benefit you.

The key is always in 'proper' and 'appropriate' use of whatever tool you're using.

I dont want to sound stupid, but did you post to hell lot of those, and pinged them too? I mean, if they get into google's eyes, so many within a small time frame, they will sure act.

I just leave all my stuff to time, so it tends like it is genuine and get indexed at random times instead of all within days or so.

I got penalized for linking scheme once. I had hundreds of domains interlinking each other and the money site on grand scale, on some heavily competed keyword. I used c-class ip's, different domains and so, but it was over the top spammy. I randomly included backlinks to my profiles and other low level places to get them indexed easier (it was easy because all those sites were remotely controlled via script). Then one day I notice alert from Google's manual ip range visits on my sites, site after another. Soon enough they're all deindexed as they just followed the interlinks. A few days afterwards I receive a message that my money sites have been penalized and I should write them to apply for reconsideration.

Good point...

All our current testing shows that this is the best way to go with AMR now. Overall indexing is much slower but you end up with many more links that by trying to force indexing.

I don't think this has anything to do with AMR but instead it has alot to do with yourself.

1. How are you spinning your articles? Are readable?

2. What other backlinks building methods do you use? I have seen my sites going under after using senuke x and AMR but it is always temporary and they come up stronger. Pure profile links will not get you much goodies.

Me, too... I don't think it's AMR. I think it is how being used. AMR is just there to make everyday job easier, it would still depend on the user how to use it appropriately.

Use well-spun and quality articles
Well spun author box/bio
Spun anchor texts including generic anchors like "click here"
Spun URLs
Drip feed articles
Blast articles to all directories at once but never ping all those links in one go
...etc!

Spinning is a waste of time. All I have had luck with is unique original content. Some of these old techniques are on their way out.
