I would like to make it clear that this is not intended to be a complete guide but just to show you basic steps

How To Find Micro Niche With EMD
Basic Steps

You need 2 tabs opened in your browser
[1] Google Adwords: Keyword Tool
[2] Bulk Domain Search Tool (I Use http://www.domaintools.com/buy/availability-check/bulk/ )

Keyword Tool Page:
[3] Here is where you put your keywords
[4] Choosing the country ( by default I pick US - Helps in Exact Local Search)
[5] Choosing Language (by default I pick English)
[6] You can change it if you are targeting mobile devices, otherwise leave it as it is
[7] Filters (the most important part and we will get in to it later)
[8] Always pick Exact Match

The above image is to show you that you can apply many filters to your search.
What I do in the above example is applying 4 filters:
[1] Global Monthly Searches >= 4000
[2] Global Monthly Searches <= 15000
[3] Competition Medium and High (This is Adwords competition not SEO competition, which shows how many advertisers are targeting the keyword, the more competition the higher the CPC)
[4] Approximate CPC (Set it to $1 to make sure the keyword is worth the time)

Make the search to see what keywords Google suggest

Copy all the keywords and input them to a word file then hit Ctrl+f and click replace
We will do 3 replaces to remove the brackets and spaces from the keywords.
In the "find what" box type "[" without quotes , leave the "replace with" empty and hit replace all
repeat the last step with "]" and another time by putting space in the first box
This way you will get the keywords without brackets or spaces to input it in the bulk domain search

If you find an available EMD you then check the SEO Competition, search Google and analyze the top 10 results (I'll make another post for SEO Analysis)

I hope this was helpful and gives you some basic ideas

Great method! You can use namecheap domain bulk checker because you don't have to take out the brackets from the keywords, namecheap does it for u.

Just one thing, in the Bulk Checker I advice to uncheck all "Show domains that are registered with these TLDs" and check .COM, .NET and .ORG in "But aren't registered with at least one of these TLDs".

and under the search button there is " add keywords/ downloads/..../columns"

For the beginners out there, I'd probably lower the search volume in the Google Keyword Tool. Based on my experience, finding EMDs for keywords with search volume between 4000 and 15000 exact searches is not easy. Plus, I wouldn't really consider the higher end of that micro niche.

I'd set the parameters to search between 1200 and 4000 searches. You'll have a lot more luck finding EMDs.

Over 10.000 is too hard, rare exact match domains...

Didn't work for me.

No need to remove the brackets.. Just click on the view as text button.. It's at the top of the searches.. copy the keywords and paste them here

Godaddy will prompt you if you want to remove the brackets click on ok and it will search for the emd's you stated

i never check using godady as it is notorious for locking a domain/keyword if more searches comes for that particular keyword

The less competition the easier the ranking process will be, but make sure you check the top 10 results and check their seo
the competition that shows in keyword tool is not for seo it's about how many advertisers competition for that keyword which means it has nothing to to with seo

you can use the firefox plugin to manage easily to find EMD domain
as well as the EMD willn't good rank like a off-site backlinks

I would add, don't use GD until you are ready to purchase right at that moment. They claimed a few years back that they weren't hijacking domains but I've had it happen to me.

Hence, buyers beware!

How many domains can you check at once (you can 50 with namecheap) with Bulk Domain Tool?

Can anyone let me know if they are having difficulty when it comes to applying the forth filter (Approx. CPC) as it isn't showing up as a drop-down option for me. I am located in Australia but I'm not sure if that should make a difference to the options available to me, should it?

I know other BHW users will find this very useful.

Just one suggestion if I may...I would recommend using local search volume instead of global.

Local search volume numbers will be more accurate than global search volume when estimating your potential traffic.

Yeah, i used to do this and it works quite well.

I use a pretty cool service nowadays, but i got in at beta level so its really cheap.

If you just do a few domains, this is solid.
