I have successfully submitted ~4500 AA list using scrapebox and put all the AA links in a rss format and submitted them and its been about 3 days and I have yet to see any backlinks count towards that yahoo answer post. I haven't dealt with backlinks before and am just starting to get into, but do they work differently for yahoo answers or anything if it isnt a root domain?

No its the same, but you don't need to ping them, if they are AA then they were probably scraped from Google so google will re-crawl them, but that can take up to 2 months. But you should probably wait more then 3 days before worrying about results. If you are trying to get something done in lightning speed, throw 100K links at it over night or 200K and that should light it up. Its on a solid domain so google will likely think its a trending topic. Just my 2 cents.

thanks for the reply loopline. I know backlinks take a while, but I read people who get indexed within a day, and I just assumed that out of ~4500 links that one of them would have been spotted and counted as a backlink. Maybe I shall see if I can throw 100k links at it! Until then I shall await and see!

Also I have been using backlinkwatch to check my backlinks, is there an alternative way of checking that anyone would recommend anymore than any other source?
