I am working on a project right now.

to make a long story short i have 30gb of pictures form the last ten years that need hosting. ( i know OMG!)

i have them in hi-res and -low-res and i also have a host. but what i want is a script like what they have on myspace or some porno sites.

it takes the image, scales it and displays it in a sort of thumbnail style, so that you dont have to view them one at a time but can get a quick preview of them before you go click links without knowing what your gonna find.

i was wondering if anyone has a PHP script or and ASP setup that will let me load them into a directory then just go?

or if thats not possible, is there an app out there that will let me make thumbnails of like 30 files at once?

Im sure it can be programmed. I always use GAF to get a programmer when im feeling lazy.

i know it can be done, but i wat to know if it is done.

im a very lazy man.

It is already done. Multiple implementations. Do a search on google for "thumbnail generator" and you'll find php plus windows applications.

Use a Photoshop workflow to thumbnail your images automatically.. lemme know if you need to know how.

Cool, I just found a great feature for you in PS..

Go to file->Automate->Web photo gallery. Choose a style, select your target folder of images, click the Options drop down, and choose thumbnails, edit details. It generates an html file with some nice tables containing the thumbnails and a preview box.
