Yo BHW,

In this past few weeks, I've learned so many ways to manually find goldmines in Big G's KW tool. And I found a couple of long-ass keywords! Of course, some of those has Exact Match Domains in every extension. But I fear that this is TOO long? Won't I get penalized by G if I try to rank a domain with 8-13 WORDS not letters. And also, won't the people doing a search for this keyword think of the site as SPAM because of that long keyword on the domain?

in these 8-13 long-tail keywords, I've already included "a" "to" "by" "do" "is" "it" generally, what some people might call "stop words" in the SEO world.

I've asked this because I haven't read anything about this matter. Such a shame because as the word count increases for the keyword the more laser-targeted it becomes.

if its a .com - you should try and keep the domain name characters below 24 characters.

It sounds like you have found some great VERY long tail keywords so i would personally get a domain based on a shorter version (including main keywords) and then create a post or page within WP with the super long tail keywords

The longest KW I found was 33 words. Is it a penalty to go over 24 letters for a domain name? Such a waste if I didn't get some of the keywords, some of them with allintitle and allinurl under 800... Almost hurts me :( The thing is, I don't have the budget to take risks that's why I wanted to be sure, if I did, I'd buy them all in a heart beat LOL

I do not believe the 24 character domain name is valid personally .. and to proove this then please check out ...

63 characters (and yes I can pronounce it !)

That is NOT my domain but it ranks there @ no.1 with google for a shortened version of the domain ...

As for getting slapped for doing an exact match long tail keyword domain .. try it, what have you got to lose?

Just do 3-4 keywords max in the Domain Name.

Longer EMD's don't really get any SEO boost anyway, in fact you might even get penalized!

sorry guys, maybe i should have stated this in my response. The 24 character thing as far as i know is not set in stone as a rule with google or any search engine for that matter, however i personally notice it alot harder to rank for keywords in the domain - even if its an exact match domain for urls longer than that - so its more of a personal point of view.

You will get alot of people commenting here saying its this or that without actually doing anything themselves - they would just be repeating stuff that they have read somewhere

do you have any proof ?since i have bought a domain more than 30 characters..

ok i have to work on this very long tail keywords lets see if i can rank this to google or not.. ill update you in one month time ...

If it's really long tail...then do it,you won't have a link url competition at least lol

Hope you're using exact match search. :)

Was just about to say that :P

Hell yeah I am :)

Do you have examples of more commercial domains?

LOL just now, I checked the EMD .com for a 33 letter KW and it only has 1 page with 300+ words, 1 video and a clickbank link below I think it's not even 1 year old. Virtually NO backlinks and this 33 letter domain is ranking 24 on the SERPS lol. I imagine even a free blogger blog will be able to beat the top 3 sites which is Yahoo!Answers. This is going greeeaaaaaat :D

let me check mine how much is the competition. lol this keywords that i have choosen has 22k exact searches per month U.S hehheheheh

LOL. Is it really the longest?

I would love to find a long domain name on mortgage niches :D

My longest domain contains 28 characters. Ranking 1st for the keyword, yeah it's EMD. :sing:

is it a .COM domain? I'm guessing that it was very easy to rank right? What niche is that?

dont worry.I also have some websites with 6-7 words long and all doing extremely well...
about user thinking - that may be a pain but if keywords are easy , as i can smell then go for it ...in case, you dont go , pm me your keywords :D
