Trying to decrease the bounce rate of my blog from 80% to 50ish%. There's no ads whatsoever, no Bitcoin mining, and a theme that's easy on the eyes. All of my content is original, wrote by me. I've already hit the first page on my targeted keyword, but still a high bounce rate. Any help?

Add some relevant videos, visitor will stay longer, guaranteed! ;)

Great content can decrease bounce rate. Add some relevant videos and image is great!

To decrease the bounce rate you would need to work to increase the time spent on the site. These things are working in exact opposittes to each other. To increase the time spent on the site, make sure you have good content that the users want and also have them fill out a form or anything but their major focus should remain there.

Your bounce rate doesnt tell you anything without context - you have to look at the bounce rates of other sites that are similar to yours before being able to tell if your site is doing good or bad. in this case, blogs typically have high bounce rates because all of the content is on the same page.

that said heres some ideas

from a user experience standpoint, you can try stuff like having a little widget next to a blog article that'll display other articles on your blog that are similar to that one

if you want to be tricksy then just hide all your posts on the main page and only show their titles so they have to click through to read anything

You need to make sure that you have something interesting for your website visitors

It could be some thing that they would like to read/see

It could be informative articles / videos / pics , It depends upon your niche and website :)
