I have a website I bought back in march, wrote 4 articles for it, made sure all on page seo was good, and left it till around june. started doing some small backlinking, trying services and such and i danced super hard so I forgot about it and started some other projects. It has since settled at #17. I've just recently sent a bl pyramid to the site and about 50 .edu/.gov links. I plan on submitting it to a bunch of article directory sites soon with a nice AMR blast but i'm afraid i'm doing too much in a short span of time. should I wait and see how my rankings are effected or should i continue on with my seo plan?

I always start with linkpushes to get the ball rolling and build from there.

As long as you keep building. If you stop again after building tons of links it might be bad.

Build for the longhaul. Drip feed that site for continued building.

Seems like you have got everything working for you, but since you have been working hard how has the traffic flow since then. If you see that you can improve it then I don't see any chance as to why you shouldn't go for it.

What would help you be on the safe side is if the domain is older than one year, it would highly improve your chances of avoiding the Sandbox.

Continue with your SEO plan.....

Linkbuilding and SEO is a long term strategy, don't expect immediate result and prepare for massive fluctuations in rankings during the beginning of the campaigns.

I always stay start sooner rather than later, that way your backlinks can begin to age and your "trust" begins with Google.
