Help with my Question (Il pay the correct answer - $20)

I have a question I want to ask.

If I create a profile link on a PR 9 EDU website, will I get any juice? Is there any point? Because the ACTUAL PAGE of the profile will most likely be PR 0. But the actual domain of the website will be PR 9.

Will there be any point doing this?

Not interested in the money but IMHO you will get some juice but not the equivalent of a pr9. A link is a link though...

No, it won't be the same as a PR9 link. You will get some juice because a link is still a link, but it won't be as beneficial. Thats like saying having a wordpress blog gives you a pr9 link because main domain is. It doesn't.
 
So, in simple words, is it worth it or not?
 
High PR backlinks will help your website. Creating a link on that website will definitely help yours cause of the PR but it's better if you backlink your website to related websites (For Example: Backlink your "cheapcars dot com" website in the "cars dot com slash forum", they are related websites, google likes that). Google likes EDU domains anyway. But I think you need much more backlinks to get a better juice :)

You will get almost no juice. Profile links once had a tiny bit of value, and over the last six months google made that tiny bit even less, to almost nothing.

The best way to make it a quality link is to get the link, then build backlinks to that link, to increase the value of the link. .edu and .govs would be better than regular domains as well.

what im trying to ask is, there wont be no point. the profile link is PR 0 after all? its just the domain that is PR 9..

Anyways, to your question, ya it should give you some link juice. Even if it doesn't, there is no harm is trying. ;)

Your answer is already given in the above posts. As for the 20$ i recommend you go to the services section here and order something for SEO and web2.0 submissions, you will get a better value for money.

PS:- The seo services here are top notch just check out and you will soon see.
 
"No" is the answer...
But again, a link is a link and if you can get a link on a PR9 edu site, even if the actual PR is 0 - you will get some nice link juice (PR is just one factor, there's domain authority, TLD etc). Grab it!!!

You say you'll pay $20 for the correct answer... well, if you know the correct answer then why ask?;) And if you don't know the correct answer then give everything a try... you'll soon know the correct answer.

So go ahead and create the profile link and wait for some time (3 months or so, not sure) and do not add any other link or do anything else to the target page (content modifications, etc. etc.). If you still find that the PR has risen by a lot then obviously whatever you did was correct.:)
