Alright BHW, quick question. In your opinions, what just so happens to be the best Web Hosting available? Including a domain free or of charge it doesn't matter, free preferred and relevantly cheap for a new Blog to make some cash off of. I want to try hosting24 again, but last time I bought from them the servers kept downing and the server CPU kept getting "overheated" or something similar I had to complain about before they did anything. And Iv'e been thinking about HostGator. All views on hosting is accepted :). Thanks.

i run my own server if you need hosing, PM me if you require space

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I am interested in any hosting members here can provide. I only need about 50megs of space and like a gig of traffic per month.

I've been with some great companies... and some crappy ones.

I've done shared hosting and VPS through MediaTemple... those blew. Shared hosting was SLOW... and VPS I'd try to host one site and get 50 visitors, my server would be over on the RAM. No good.

RackSpace - I had shared hosting - slow as ever as well.

We have a dedicated for our App Business with SingleHop (formerly owners of MidPhase... great guys... a TON better support now with the new company).

After they sold MidPhase... that company hit the ground and was SLOW and service sucked..

I honestly would make these recommendations:

Cheap and Reliable Shared Hosting or Dedicated = HostGator
Dedicated (and AWESOME SERVICE AND SUPPORT) = SingleHop ...hands down.

Why not just go get a HostGator Account for Cheap? Pretty simple, easy and cheap.

I have tried a variety of options. I think a good combination is using GoDaddy for domains and using bluehost.com or hostgator.com as a host.
That will give you plenty to do and plenty of options for your online hosting.
Of course there are many other tools and options to make your online business a success.

Get your own server. I have 3 and it's more than enough resources to host my sites. Costs is a little higher but my sites have like maybe one downtime instance every 6 months and most pages load in under a second (my home speed is 50mbps though).

If you still haven't desided what companies' hosting to use you can pm me, maybe i'll have a few interesting offers for you. ;)

Hostgator is the best one . Or use Justhost for starting sites .

You can try compitenthosting. I 've been using this for some of my blogs. awesome host..no issues so far

I've had a lot of good experience with Hostgator. Their support is unreal - live chat have fixed 90% of my issues, with the rest being resolved within 24 hours by a specialist. That said, I want to try liquid web for my next dedicated server. I hear VERY good things about them
