Wordpress SEO - Static or Blog Post Snippets?

Does anyone know which is better for a wordpress site? Having a static one article home page or multiple blog snippets from your posts?

this is a very good question. i have done it both ways and never studied which is better.

For my sites I have static page with one article 600~ words with my MAIN keyword.

Then I have a link to the blog on the top for all my other articles

Seems to work well for me!

For me it depends on the theme and ad placement. Some themes won't shows ads if we have multiple blog snippets at home page. In that case, I usually display a sticky home page usually the last blog post or in some cases a sticky main article for the root keyword where the ads have maximum visibility.
