Is Longer Article Better?

I aim for over five-hundred words personally.

Are you just trying to get your post count up?

or am i too tired to see how this fits into the thread? lol

maybe he's just trying to increase his size u know ;)

Longer articles will generate more keywords I think.

Correct me if I am wrong :o

Because this post is so relevant to the OP's question. Are you just trying to get your post count up?

I like to use 500-1000 word articles all depending on what it is to be used for. I use shorter articles for more general information and longer articles if I feel the need to explain something in detail.

I agree with DeviantSpy that the longer the article is the more LSI keywords you can fit in there; pleasing both visitor and bots.

It all depends what you aiming for really. In terms of seo though, longer articles (between 500 - 1000 words) seem to rank easier, in my experience anyway.

Hi, i agree especially now after panda the more content the better, i use min. 500 words for normal posts and 1000(+) for bigger more detailed subjects and like they said you will rank for long tail keywords that you would not expect.

I have recently seen a huge number of links coming to some sites I monitor that are from 'microblogs' and the articles are only about 100 words long. They appear to be some sort of microblog network (maybe someone here knows which one) where each of the domains is unique and allows the autoposting of very short articles with one or two text links.

Since text links are not my thing, I have no idea if there is some sort of article network like that, but that is how it appears at first glance.

So the length of the article surely depends on where it is submitted or posted to.

yes.. i am having good results with 750+ words article rather than having 250 words articles.

Panda made me to add more content :(

I LOVE YOU GUYS. (no homo) This forum is great cause you can ask a question and you will get a good solid discussion going. As opposed to another forum *cough cough* where some pimple-faced-socially-inept-virgins-who-make-300-a-day-and-think-that-gives-them-the-right-to-be-dickheads will try to flame you for asking a question that's not "advanced enough".

No. The keywords' density is key, not the size of the article...
