How hard is it to rank for a keyword like this one?

googles
#1 is pr0 with 25 backlinks to the page and over 2 milions total backlinks to the site

#2 is pr 4 2k bls to the page and 12k to the site

#3 -#10 is a mix of 0-3 pr with 0-8k bl to the page and 22-1700000 bls to the site.

My domain is not keyword rich, my site is pr 0, I just want my post which is around this keyword to rank #1-#3 in google.
Will it be hard to get there by just having a SEO optimized article (post) and backlinking it heavily?

Well I've done all the keyword research, and I've red that thread before. I gave u all the information that was required in the thread you've sent me.

The only one that was missing is exact searches global 44k, 15k local USA searches

"keyword" = 290 000
inurl:"keyword" = 5,500
intitle:"keyword" = 8000
inurl:"keyword" intitle:"keyword" = 3500

Not to be off topic or anything, but how does one go about getting 2 million back links!?

I have used lists from here, that include "List of 2500 social networking site" or something like that and I just cannot begin to imagine getting that many. Is this a common thing? Do many people here have atleast a million backlinks? Without using backlink services..

The competition is fierce. If you put out good content with high quality backlinks then google likely rank in Page 3 to 5. After which you can keep building good links and gain better positions.

Site-wide links.

Now if you can get a link in the footer of this forum, you will get 1 million links (if there are 1million pages, which im sure there is).

Otherwise, spam, spam, spam.

According to Traffic Travis software it is "Relatively Easy" to rank although i noticed the page rank on all the top ten sites except for one are PR 5 and above so it might take a bit of work. BTW, you can get Traffic Travis or Market Samurai for free here at BHW both of which will give you a good idea on how easy it is to rank with keywords.

Ok I got it, I was wondering what the hell people did with their time for a minute. So that would be like that guy who made w*ordp*ress templates with his link in the footer and had millions of backlinks. A bit easier.

its probably twitter/facebook/wiki (although they have more) or maybe a large forum

Just do a search in this forum for either Traffic Travis or Market Samurai and you will find the threads. Go to the last page of the thread to get the latest version then follow the instructions from the first page of the thread to get it installed.

Well I've just noticed .org .com and .net exact match domains are taken, but .info is still free. Should I grab that one?

You will need more SEO effort to rank .info. Try to get a key-word.org or .com or .net With "-".

Number of backlinks don't matter, what matter is how much backlinks contain that anchor text, if any site is having million backlinks then it doesn't means that all of them are containing the same anchor text that you want to rank for.
Now that doesn't means that all you have to do is to get this or that number of links, There are lot of factors that come into role in rankings of any website. So you have make trust in Google's eye also.
At last I would say just go for it and do some serious work and "don't give up" this is the word which you have to put always in your pocket while in your journey to reach to the top.
