Need SEO advice

Ive set up a site aiming at lots of keywords - ecommerce - I have the front page meta data with the biggest keywords in terms of traffic.

This is conflicting with the keyword pages - what do i do with the front page meta data? take it out and leave it generic?

Really not sure how to handle the frontpage!

Yea take it out, and just make it whatever keywords are on that page.... Dont lose too much sleep over it, google doesnt really put too much value in metaKeywords.

URL, Title, H1, H2, content, and image alt tags is where you need to focus your energy

Sorry, i meant the title. It has the keywords in it. Also there is anchor text for those keywords leading to the inner pages.

Is this wrong?
