Banned URL...Is There A Sure Fire Way To Tell?

OK..Built a site and released it today. Domain is 7 + years old BUT was never developed. Domain it self is not indexed BUT impretty good at making it so fast.

So far nothing. Other then doing site:mydomain name is there a sure fire place to type in a domain and get a straight answer to if the domain is banned or really just a case of not beign indexed yet?
