Obviously there are people on both ends; but I just wanna see which side more people are on.

So do you guys do your own SEO or do you outsource? IF you outsource, how much do you pay monthly (roughly)?

Personally, I've done most of my SEO work, and have only outsourced a few minor projects.

i used to do all the work manually but it's very frustrating and last year i hired 3 workers for SEO and now i m starting a outsourcing company :D

I do half and half as well, sometimes I do all my own though. A poll would have been a good idea for this thread!

As of today I've made all the SEO work by my own. Not even my community admins helped me.

I have a couple worker bees doing profile backlinks and blog commenting, but for the rest I do my own.

Poll added guys.

I do it all myself at this point. I don't have the income from my sites to justify spending hundreds per month on an outsourced SEO team. Plus I have SB to help me ;)

I do it myself since i dont trust people or seo agencies... :p

I create the overall strategy and do much of the automated link building myself. I outsource the more tedious tasks (manual link building) to overseas workers (I'm in the U.S.).

I do all of my own for myself and clients.. every outsourcer I've worked with has let me down in some way or another and I'm a bit OCD/a perfectionist when it comes to providing results to clients.. "if you want something done right...."

This is so true. The only time I ever paid for backlinks they had tons of great reviews and all of my backlinks were pr0 and random unrelated sites. I was so mad because they already had my money and there was nothing I could do since technically it was a backlink...

Ive had mixed results with outsourcing the SEO. You have to have expectations that are clearly set and to let the company/freelancers understand how you will be monitoring the project.

I prefer doing it myself, why?,because it make me feel the job is being done properly and in the way I like it =D

I cant really give a straight answer.

Since I , own my SEO company. Now days , I rarely do SEO myself ,but train my workers.

So I guess its kind of both :)

benefit of hiring your own is that you can train them to work the way you want. Also there tends to be more loyalty if you hire them .
