htaccess code to fix the farmer update

my site's rankings got killed in the scraper and farmer updates. I would like to disable the wodrpress blog that is located on mysite.com/blog because it is filled with scraped content, and maybe even redirect all the traffic from the 2000+ pages in the blog to my homepage. Can anyone please suggest an htaccess code that I can use to do this? I'm trying to recover from the farmer update.

Try something like that:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.yoursite\.com/blog/$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.yoursite.com/ [L,R=301]

Hmm, thanks for the code, but for some reason it didn't work.. (blog still shows up)

Do a 301 redirect of the Blog link to your homepage

What I really need is a code that directs the entire contents of a folder to the homepage. I would gladly pay someone a few bucks if they could give me a working code.

Put this in your htaccess:

redirect 301 /blog/ http://mainpage.com

I had a similar situation and doing this for a few sites currently, hehe.

Thanks, that helped a little; but the internal pages of the blog are not redirecting.

example: www.mysite.com/blog/catagoties/thispage (which is a page in the blog) now gets a 404 error. I would like the link juice coming in to the pages of the blog to get redirected to the home page.
