How did new Google algorithm changes affect your sites?

We have seen all our sites move up with the last change. These are all white hat sites that are done for real business.
We have noticed that some of our affiliate sites have dropped a few spots.

I've white hat site, more than 3 years old domain but without SEO (backlink) at all.
What do you think - related to the algo changes - is it OK to build huge backlink (link wheel or pyramid) to that site?

I have websites in US, and foreign search results.
As the Big G slap has not reached outside US the rankings abroad did not change.
But 3 of the 15 auto blogs were affected very badly. One of them are not in the rankings anymore.
I had some RSS aggregator sites and all of them started going up in the results.
And all of my customer sites (which are purely white hat) are going up too...

I moved up to the first page for many of my primary keywords. As a result, I am getting about 50% more traffic.

This sam eday some of my inner pages well ranked has fall some positions, they was "greyhat pages" with cuality created by my self content and some backlink did by myself.
My stroger sites remain the same.
The question is autoblog,ahat the results for the peoplo that uses them?

Up to now, I haven't seen any effect on my sites. However, I doubt the effectiveness of this change. Google always say that they will penalize all the BH sites when they state about algo change but there are a lot of BH sites thrive.
Maybe they want to scare you not to do BH stuffs
