I am sitting here going through the enormous amounts of posts for backlinking and link pushing...trying to figure out the best way to go about getting these two pieces of the puzzle to start making noise.

How often should i link push?

I have all these backlinks now, but no clue how to utilize them the right way.

There are so many opinions on the seo forums about these services that it is blurry to me what is going to work and what wont.

Thoughts anyone?

When it comes to building links, there are few things to know

anchor text- make sure the link it self is a keyword
one way back links from authority niche related sites is what you want.

once you understand that there are more advanced aspects such as link pyramids / wheels.

there are a number of threads on how to build these

good luck

If you're completely new to SEO, I'd start by doing everything manually. The last thing I'd personally want to do is throw away money on SEO services and not see any results.

A service like a link push can be effective when used right, but if you're trying to rank for "insurance quotes" no amount of link pushes will help you get into the top 10.

Consistent backlinking through a diverse backlink profile will do well, as long as the keyword(s) aren't crazy tough as stated in a previous post. I've never used a link wheel, push, pyramid, etc.

I always jump start my SEO campaigns with a few article submissions to the major article directories, profile links, and other directories ALL manually.

After your domain ages a little bit you can start using some of the services here on BHW but nothing is a one-stop shop. You must be consistent, easiest way is to outsource but be smart and don't overdo anything. I always feel a good SEO plan probably shouldn't be able to be managed alone (depending on the size of the project/competition etc), but ask around and research.

Hell, it took me a month to fine tune my current SEO plan before I did ANYTHING with it (besides my basics I listed). Be smart, research, test.

Reading people's opinion is nice and everything, but if there's one thing I've learned about internet marketing, is unless you experiment, you will never have the knowledge.

Just waste some time on building links in various ways, and see which one works best for you.
