Getting site delisted

So I see many methods that come with a hazzard or dont overdo this or google will delist you. So why do competitors not do that to their competition. Or If I wanted a site taken off, can I do a specific thing that will get it delisted? Maybe I'm missing something , but seems pretty simple

Because most people are full of crap and don't know what they're talking about. According to Matt Cutts from Google the only way this will happen is if your site is manually reviewed and considered spam or illegal or infecting people with viruses.
