Ive just read a thread about iphone apps creation and how much difficult it was to be noticed and make sells in the appstore.

But if you advertise your app directly to final customers it can change things.

I was thinking of an app for pizzerias' owners, that could be installed on his customers' iphone, then they can order pizzas directly with a few clicks.

When the app is ready, just go to some pizzerias in your town and sell it as much as you can. Tell the pizzaiolo the app will gain the loyalty of his customers, they are young and they all have iphones nowadays, something like that should convince.

Any suggestions about how to improve this, or scale it up?

correct,

but an iphone app is sexy :)

Combine it with selling them a website with an ordering system, then build the app around the websites ordering system, like just an iphone / android version of the ordering page. Offer them a discount if they will allow you to push netflix offers on the app and website. I actually stole that last part from another idea that was posted on the forum like a year ago that had to do with printing flyers for pizza shops for free.

Sounds great dichotom, even if it seems to be a lot of work to link the app with a website, but it should be outsourced easily.

It probably sounds like more work than it is. If you get the website up and working it will just hook into the same system but display it differently. You can check out "titanium developer" for an easy way to adapt normal websites to phone apps.

QR codes are good but iphones don't have them (the app) already installed do they? my nokia has a scanner on it - works like a treat.
