Quick observation..

My site which is 2 years 5 months old to be exact is ranking in the top 10 for a keyword in which the sites on the first page have a domain age average of 10+ years old. One site was created in 1995, damn! BTW I only started SEO on the site in September 2010.

Domain age does make a difference, but a smart SEO strategy will conquer all over time.

Have a good one!

Did you do blackhat / greyhat / or whitehat SEO to achieve your rankings?

Can you be more detailed about your link strategie?

Domain age is a small factor in the grand scheme of things. It's just one more nice thing to have if you can get it. What you are seeing is people who probably are not maintaining any decent SEO on and off page and can be knocked off with good SEO from you.

GH SEO

My strategies are basic: articles, social bookmark, blog/forum commenting, create legit blog (not autoblog) and link to main site (blog is on different IP than my main site's).

I would only consider is GH SEO because I do manual and automatic submissions/commenting but you can correct me if my definition of GH is wrong.

I think the best way to up your ranking is to use black hat Seo and grey hat. If you use them on différent page link them together in a possible way and you'll up faster
