[METHOD] How I Find Low Competition High Search Volume Keywords Using Scrapebox
This method is very simple, but powerful and never failed me! I come across many untapped long tail keywords with low competition and high search volume in many niches EVERYDAY.
Step-1: Open Google keyword tool and your favorite domain registrar
Step-2: Launch SB and open the keyword scraper.
Step-3: Enter any keyword. For example, enter “apple” and start scraping.
Step-4: After scraping is done, remove duplicate keywords and copy those keywords in an excel file (don’t use notepad)
Step-5: Enter those scraped keywords again in the keyword scraper and start scraping. Add those scraped keywords after removing the duplicates again in the same excel sheet.
Step-6: Repeat step-4 and 5 using keyword scraper until you find all the long tail keywords.
Step-7: Now you have a huge list of long tail keywords. Copy the first 100 keywords and paste it into the Google keyword tool. Enable the option “Only show ideas closely related to my search terms” and search.
Step-8: We want the exact search for the entered keywords so under match types select “[Exact]” and search again.
Step-9: Sort the result from high to low search count. Now you have the exact keywords sorted by search volume.
Step-10: Ignore all the one word and two word keywords. Start analyzing the first page competition and the EXACT keywords domain availability. I’m not going deep into the competition area, I leave it to you.
Step-11: Now copy the next 100 keywords and repeat the step-7, 8 and 9 until you finish all the keywords in your list
Step-12: Once you find a high search volume and low competition keyword, build your website and monetize it.
Notes:
- To analyze the competition, you can either use MS or install SEO Quake and check the first page competition.
- Register exact keyword domain name. If it is not available, move to the next keyword unless the competition is very low.
- In Google keyword tool, you can search for maximum 100 keywords at a time.
Here is a video which shows exactly what I do, the same method which I described above. Just give it a try and share your results.

Cool post OP, another great use for scrapebox.

Dude great how to, thanks alot.
One thing bugs me though - never use godaddy for domain research, they're known to register domains that users search for, at least not unless you want to register the domains asap after checking with godaddy. Better use psychicwhois.com.
Anyways, thanks for the great howto!

OMG! Is that true? I use Godaddy pretty much everyday to search domains! I should stop that

Good method. You can do steps 4 and 5 within the keyword scraper.

I tried it, but the result is inaccurate so I stick to directly searching sites

This idea sparked in my mind when I was searching for more ways to find long tail keywords. SB keyword scraper scrape keywords from many source which is what I need

Re: [METHOD] How I Find Low Competition High Search Volume Keywords Using Scrapebox
Don't know how many of you watched the video fully. At the end, I showed a long tail keyword with high search volume and less competition. Exact keyword domain is also available. Let's see who is gonna grab it

Nah, I'm not confused. I actually know scrapebox pretty well. What I meant was that you don't have to use excel until the very end of this process. You can scrape the keywords, remove duplicates, add the keywords back to the keyword list, and scrape again. Rinse and repeat. All within the keyword scraper. Excel isn't needed until you already have your big list ready. Unless I'm missing something?

agreed! also the reason why I choose excel is because google keyword tool only allows 100 keywords to search at a time so If you use excel, you can select 100 keywords quickly because it shows you the count while you scroll and select.

My xmas gift to you is a rather good php domain checker script I got from here a few years ago (the credit must go the original coder - Erik (aka TheGoat)). I have since updated it to include the .co domains and this little script will also take a csv file of your keywords, check all the pertinent domains and return the data (at the bottom of the script when its finished) which you simply copy and paste into excel thereby retaining your search counts and any other data you input.
Its a script I use everyday and its quick and effective and better still quiries the whois database directly thereby stopping the shisters from stealing the domain.
Simply unrar and load the file into xampp (just dump into the htdocs folder) and call it in a browser and let their be light!
domain finder
Hey thanks for the script. I really like this xmas gift

No problem merry xmas! just for anyone who thinks this method is not worth exploring heres another present (I have far too much on my plate at the moment!) which took all of 5 minutes.
boxingweightclasses.org
4400 exact US searches
6600 Global Exact
"12,600" kw search
MS shows its a definate goer!
I could think of a few monetisation methods for this one.....
To save you some time being wasted - this domain has now been snapped up by a sharp eyed BHatter! but there is plenty, plenty more!

Isn't 4400 searches a month a bit too few to base a whole domain / site on it? Just wondering, I am still a beginner.
And thanks for the script!

Re: [METHOD] How I Find Low Competition High Search Volume Keywords Using Scrapebox
Nice method!
In theory all you then need to do (if you can manage doing this over and over again) is to put in very very broad keywords at the start and then keep going! Soon you will be overloaded with keywords.

No not really but it depends on several factors - what is the value of these visitors in terms of monetisation? if you are using adsense then you would want to look at the CPC, if amazon then what products could you sell off the back and how much are they? cpa offers etc, etc. I tend to start looking at domains around the 4k exact mark - that should (if SEO'd correctly) get you a decent daily hit rate and sufficient income in return if all the above are suited.

That's actually a pretty good count. If you are able to rank top 5 for that keyword, you can expect good results.

Re: [METHOD] How I Find Low Competition High Search Volume Keywords Using Scrapebox
ok i know how to use the wonderhweel scraper of course. I put in my main keyword and it gave me back like 10,00 unique keywords.
I just don`t get how to evaluate the keyword and the competition. so I take my list of 10,000 keywords and...
I know I am asking to be spoon fed here but..it is a forum. Also I am looking for a software solution that will easily automate this whole process. Like stick in my list of 10,000 keywords and have it give me 50-100 that I should focus on. Anything like that exist?

I use Godaddy all the time to perform search and sometimes wait weeks or even months to register. I have never experienced it being registered already.

That would be Market Samurai (when it works!) its avaliable here in the downloads section. I would also take a look at their Dojo within the MS website it has some great pointers for 10 to get help you identify that killer keyword.

It all depends on the registra and how many times the domain is searched for - some have higher triggers than others and some have none - its knowing which ones though hence why alternative methods are safer.....

Re: [METHOD] How I Find Low Competition High Search Volume Keywords Using Scrapebox
I did this about a month ago and found a very high searched keyword that had over 1 million monthly searches and got the .net domain
Also got another one with over 3million searches
This is one of the best ways to find high searched keywords domains
Also you can use SB add ons to find the competition and domain names which are avaliable

I can confirm this happens. I looked up two domains about a year back, went to buy it later that night and they were gone.

Don't use registrars to check for availability. There are too many rumors that this happens sometimes.
Use some generic provider instead like for example internic.net/whois.html

Question to you both: how many keywords do these domains have? 2? 4?
I am wondering because I can not really imagine a keyword with 3 mio searches thats more then a 1-2 keyword domain. But imagination is a limited animal
