Youtube Optimization

I am new to this forum, but but have been doing IM for several months

This is a two fold post.

1. A couple months back I was able to get my youtube videos on the first page of youtube (keyword serach) within a single day. At one point I had 8 of my videos on the first page (total of 1,500+ results for the keyword).

Since then I have not been able to replicate my results. I have used increased views (very temporary), increase comment, ratings and favorites. I even got on the Honors for Guru section, but still Cannot get on the first page.

Any advise?

2. Using those same methods a few months back I was able to get my video on the first page of google for those specific keywords, but since then I have had no luck.

Video marketing for me has been an extremely important method and have had much success, but cant seem to get back on the way I used to.

I would like some advise on both of these.

It will depend on your niche but it may be that a bunch of people are doing what you're doing.

A few months ago is a lot in internet times. Algorithms changed.
And yes, a great explanation is the influx of marketers on youtube... Now everyone knows how to optimize titles, description, tags, thumbnails, views, comments, favorites....
Softs and ebooks available made it very easy even for a totally clueless noob to cash on youtube.

What are some new strategies or tactics to get to the top of youtube and stay up there?

Linking? Is it possible to change the video script?

Like they said, it depends on your niche. On top of what you've mentioned, I use a keyword loaded article for my description. I also have about 20 myspace profiles that I only use for linking my vids to. I have lots of vids on these sites set at height 20 width 20 on autoplay. Doesn't help generating views anymore, but it could help with links. Seems to work. Vids that I make for my niche are still up on the first pages months after I post them. Hope this helps.
