Default Does a redirect count as a click with Affiliates?

If I send somebody to mysite.com/redirect and it redirects them to "affiliatelink.com/myid", does that get stored as a click? It would make sense if it did, but I remember years ago seeing people in hot water for not actually having the user "click through" and basically forcing it on them.

i find it to be hit and miss with one program I'm signed up with. I have about 200 campaigns running at the moment with them, and about 10% of them never register clicks at all, only leads. I suspect i'm missing a tracking pixel or something, or that the advertiser isn't registering them correctly. I've never had any heat come back from it to this day *knocks on wood*, but I do agree, it looks suspect, but I guess the ten or twenty casino affils which this is happening on dont seem to care

Yes it seems to depend on the program. I run all aff links through my own tracker to see this and also quickly establish any rip off merchants.
