Dominating Google With WEIRD Backlinks!

Hey guys,

I was running through the backlinks of one of my competitors and I noticed that they are not normal backlinks... It's like hacked pages with soo many links which looks really weird. He has like 35k backlinks.. most of which are like that and he is dominating the serps.

Here are some examples:

http://www.jamiecavanaugh.com/philosophy.html/?cmci=watch+karate+kid+2010+online
http://ymertennis.com/?bwtp=watch+karate+kid+online

I'd love to know what program he's using, since it actually works.

What ya'll think?

The result of a custom theme or module within wordpress.
 
I checked the tennis site. If you look at it you find that all the page sections that normally indicate internal or external links are not linked to anything. The only links on the page -- regardless of where they're located -- are for his movie.

To me this indicates it is essentially a one page site and he owns it.

When you look at the other sites you see they share an identical site of really bad html coding, that I suspect is not bad coding at all but very good coding to create a certain appearance, again suggestive that the sites are owned.
 
No he doesn't own none of the sites, he literally has like 5k domains like that linking to him.
 
And why is it always something like ?bwtp=watch+karate+kid+online after the domain with his keyword?
 
I think those are hacked wordpress sites.

The hacker use the query string ?bwtp=watch+karate+kid+online to send a search to a legitimate news site and embed the result page rewritted with his keyword into the defaced site.

In those urls the news sites used are

I've got links to one of my sites showing up on pages like this - I didn't do it but I reckon someone here is behind it because when I posted a similar question to yours the thread got removed

And it definitely seems to be working for him... he has an Alexa of 20k and he's getting all his traffic from Google which seems to love him.

I wish I knew which software he used.
 
It's not complex software, but you don't want to mess with something like this if you don't really really know what you're doing and are located in some lawless place.
 
This is interesting. I would like to hear more about this.
