Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
I usually get indexed within 3 days very simply.
Install wordpress, do an seo post, post video on front page, create a video page repeat step 2, use an auto blogger of some sort, there are quite a few, I have 3 and sometimes use em all. no adsense, no text ads, no ads!
site: domain.com
You can take down WP later and it stays indexed.

no ads huh? That usually clues them in?

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
You want to appear as if you are a regular Joe, then after indexing, ad a few ads, continue with the random yet keyword auto posting.
It works for me

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
I've always used the power of the Secret. I will it to get indexed and it does. That combined with Pad file submits, WP blogs, Jumptags, bookmarking demon. I still believe it's the Secret though.

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
Really only two things you can do:
1. Wait patiently
2. While you're waiting, build some high quality backlinks.

The secret has led me to this thread. The secret is also about to lead me to Redtube.com.

Thanks, my GF was standing behind me when I pasted redtube {porn link} into the browser. An adult warning would have been nice.

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
One thing that has sped up and increased my indexing is 1. xml sitemap generator 2. CaffenatedContent+Maxblog Ping Optimizer...

Since you mentioned having a GF with an avatar like that, I just have to ask...what's his name?

I miss the Santa Monica of the 70's-80's nowadays it's just a nightmare that I need to drive through to get to the boat.

It's pretty effin packed nowadays, that's for sure. Homeless population's ridiculous too. Still, I do like main street and the promenade.

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
Natural growth of content and links is the best way to beat the sandbox. If you added 100 links in the first week, try to keep it close to that for the next few weeks. If you added 10 articles, try to keep it close to that.

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
My autoblog got out of the sandbox in about 2 weeks.. I just submitted the sitemap to google, added the site to a few social bookmarking sites and some RSS aggregation sites, etc.

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
This is another one of those "sandbox" threads which is not actually about the sandbox at all. If you are not indexed, you cannot be in the sandbox.
When somebody has a relatively new site on which they have started some kind of link building campaign, they may find that it disappears from the google SERPs for a long period (3-6 months) while still remaining strong in Yahoo and MSN. This is the official definition of the sandbox effect.
Between March and May, I built 3000 links to a new site of mine. It ranked for 2 days, then got slammed in the sandbox. Now, 4 months on, it's back from the grave and stronger then ever. I couldn't believe it, considering the spammy nature of some of the links.

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
Everyone on this thread totally missed the point. How can it be sandboxed if its not even indexed?
Im assuming it IS indexed so ignore all the 'this is how to get indexed stuff'
From what I understand the sandbox is like a test.
Build links too fast and google will slap you in the box. There are two things that could happen:
1)You say "damn got screwed by google" and abandon your project, and stop building links suddenly. This just confirms to google that your link building was not natural and you stay in the sandbox.
2) You keep building links steadily despite not being ranked. After 3 weeks - 6 months google decides your links are natural (seeing as they didnt stop appearing) and puts you back in the SERPS.

This is an interesting theory. It certainly makes sense, whether or not it is true. We cannot expect to reasonably know what google is doing with regard to its treatment of new sites - we can only guess based on the evidence we have.
I made a site in March, pumped it with 3000 spammy links it and hit the top spot in all the serps, before being removed to below 1000 in May. The site has been down ever since, until last week, when it miraculously returned from the grave.
The interesting thing is that I hadn't pointed more than 100 rubbish links at it since May. In Google's eyes, the site had almost stopped receiving links when compared to the previous activity. The fact that my site has returned casts doubt on the increasingly commonplace theory that the sandbox is a test to see if your links are genuine. If it was, my old site would have been left buried deep in the sandy graveyard.

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
the sandbox effect only appears in certain industries. whats really happening is that the links to a site are being devalued rather than actually being penalised or sandboxed. The degrading or neutralising of the backlink juice is what then causes what many refer to as the sandbox effect.

I can't believe we have to pay $97 now to give out negative reputation.
Don't you agree, Prospor7?

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
Dude...was your site ever indexed at all? What rankings drop did your site have that makes you think you are sandboxed? This will help us come up with a solution. As others have said, if you haven't been indexed by google...this is NOT being sandboxed.

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
A couple of thoughts on the 'sandbox' theory. The flaw I identify in the 'if you add too many links too quickly, then the big G puts you in the sandbox and you only get out if you continue to get links while youre in the sandbox' theory is that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
If you're in the sandbox and therefore not showing up in the big G searches how are people supposed to find you to link to you? You dont show up in searches so people dont find you so people dont link to you so you remain in the sandbox. It doesnt make sense.
I know that there remains the chance of link traffic from other sites but it seems a strange way for the big G to operate. Everyone (and presumably the big G itself) knows that a HUGE amount of traffic comes from the big G so why would it conduct a 'test' of a new site without giving the new site the benefit of big G traffic.
thoughts? Im just thinking out loud here.
cheers

The same way that you get into the SERPS in the first place? You don't get links from turning up in search results then..........

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
Silversten - I appreciate your point and that's why I continued with:
"I know that there remains the chance of link traffic from other sites but it seems a strange way for the big G to operate. My point is NOT that Big G traffic is the only kind of traffic but instead that it accounts for a decent % of traffic. It would be a strange test to see how popular a site is if during the test you prevent a large % of traffic from happening.

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
new sites should build links slowly and everything will be fine.

Re: Any way to get out of the sandbox?
wait for some months, you can concentrate on other sites during this period.
