ok so i thought I found a offshore host but they want to charge $29 extra per month for cpanel and $12 a month for each additional IP addresses. Is that a good deal or the norm for VPS servers offshore??

If I have like 30 websites would it be wise to host them on 1 IP or should I have 2 or more?

Also, the more IPs the merrier, you always want to have at least two anyway.

they shouldn't be charging you all that for the ips

yeah. with the offshore hosting i have i always got them free. this is for beijing, ukraine, and malaysia

wsservers dot com is what I use.. pretty cheap for good service. I used VPS until I switched to dedicated. Been with them about 5 months w/no problems.

Each additional IP should only be $1-2/month. $12 is way too much.

wsservers prices are incredible ... BUT their datacenter is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - I DON't call that OFFSHORE!!

yeah not offshore and their prices aren't as good as they sound. The hardware specs aren't bad for the price (the dual cores) but have a look at their bandwidth pricing. Their most expensive dual core setup only comes with 3000gb monthly transfer.

Personally, I never buy hosting that limits my monthly data transfer. Instead, I buy a dedicated bandwidth throughput commitment. For instance, I run a bandwidth test on all the services I'm currently using the machine for (or i just estimate). So if at my peak I am using 20mbit of throughput, I will purchase a server with a 30mbit commit burstable to whatever the port speed on the box is (100mbit or 1gbit), and as I require more throughput I buy it.

If you're going to go this route, you always want to make the provider give you access to a test server so theat you can ensure the provider is capable of providing the throughput you're purchasing.
