Quick question. Im using the built in free proxy harvester with Scrapebox. Ive harvested maybe a dozen of good proxies.

Anyone able to let me know how many I should actually be using from the free pool? I just read a thread on here from a guy who had harvested about 150 free proxies for use?

Am I way too low on the proxy list?

I'd recommend getting exclusive proxies because it will save you a lot of time and it is worthwhile.

Personally, for commenting, I only use one exclusive proxies but for harvesting if you are on a low budget, it will require at least 10 which are what the free proxies can be used for. Scraping.

I use free proxies and they work just fine, but you will have to scrape them every day. Which equals 1 hour of your time. I get anywhere from 150-400 good low latency proxies in the process.

I usually get everything else set up first(comments, emails, websites, names) then I harvest proxies last. This ensures you are getting the freshest "free proxies". Right after I harvest the proxies I hit the post comments button and get about a 50%-60% success rate. Which isn't to bad for free proxies.

I use shared proxies and they work fine for me. Use around 50-60 US proxies and everything works like a charm!!

1 hour to scrape and test the proxies ?


Thats so slow, I can scrap/check/sort 2/3k in about 5/10minutes depending on time of the day!

I would change a few settings if I was you
