Do these new laws actually effect you promoting a gambling site or does it really prevent you from Hosting a site that users can gamble on?

Theres a huge difference there. Either way it seems you wont be getting much traffic from Google.

Regardless of what the law says, your odds of enforcement are extremely low. Stay anonymous where possible, and don't become a billionaire advertising magnate, and you'll be very unlikely to have any kind of trouble. France is a big place, and there are always bigger fish in the sea for the enforcers to follow.

I am not French but you should check up on the laws, and see what the restrict. Like in the U.S. online gambling is illegal, and the same with hosting a site, but I don't think promoting a gambling website is illegal.

Yeah, it's pretty hard for them to enforce it... I doubt the French constantly scour the internet for gambling promoters.
