I might post this in the wrong forum but I thought maybe one of you clever guys knew this... :

I know it is possibile to trace/track a GSM mobile telephones location all over the world.
I also know some compaines does this for £150 (3 searches), but I am pretty sure it is possibile to do it for free as well!

I am VERY interested in getting this for free! (I bet you are also)

Anyone know how to do this without emty our pockets??

Whats the company that's doing this for 150 pounds ?! Doesn't they need special regulations ..etc ?!
Anyway I dont think there is a free way for regular individuals to do it but I know that secret services and stuff can find phones even if the battery is took out as the mobile phone still has a little battery inside.. so be careful they still can find you

What company name I don`t remember. I was in the UK. 3 searches and 3 numbers. If the cell where turned off, that counts as 1. You understand? Expencive stuff!

Also I can do it my own country (spyshop) (under the counter) for £1000 but I`m not interested in that.

-I also know I can buty this device for for £10000 but that`s not want I want. I donT have that money. I want it cheap...

anyway...I know it can be done. I just want it for less money. I thought someone here knew about a software or something.

I looked into this about a year ago. From what I could find was that the only people that have access to this service is the emergency response, and the phone companies themselves. This info is not even available to the customer service phone employees.

You would need a subpeona to take to the phone companies who would then have to get it from a special system locked in a private room.

Out of curiousity what system have you seen at the spy shops to do this?

Yes I know that only "specials" have access to this information. But for 8 months ago I sent a mail to a "spy-shop" and requested this.

They could help me if I could cough up a substansial amount of money or I could but their decice for £10.000-£15.000, witch was accurate for about 5 meters.

I have never heard of a device that could do it, and could not find one when looking now. Do you have more info. I assume that the only way that this system would work it would have to be able to hack into the phones signal, and or company.

In order to locate a phone you would have to trianglate the phones signal from the 3 most local towers in the area without being local to them already. I can't image that this could be easily done.

I know there is something you can put in between the sim card and battery, but not sure if thats what it is.

I saw this on one of the news shows 20/20 or 60 minutes something like that, maybe 6 months ago, I'm in the US.

Any way a guy with a laptop was able to not only able to track the phone but also listened in on conversations remotely. Seems like he had to have line of site to listen in. Anybody else remember this?

Because it is not 100% legal becasue of privacy rights, I don`t think companies advertise it. Those devises are easy to sell I would think.

They look like a normal telephone (gps) witch you connect to a laptop with a software and the position of a telephone can be traced with triangelate from 3 base stations. Like you said, Cap M.

Legally there is only telephone compaies and police witch can do this operation, but what people don`t know is that all of the biggest comanies (and hardcore criminals) owns one.

I want one too, just for a fraction of the price I know it can be done.
