Struggling to gain Page 1 on Google

Hello Guys,

I am struggling to gain on page 1 in Google SE for my main keyword.
I have been building linkwheels like crazy and almost indexed all my
spokes and such things, bookmarked and so on. On-site SEO.
Keywordrich domain, got a description with the keyword and the metatages
all filled in and so on...

My competition is not so damn hard and should be easily beaten.
But the reality is different

Any suggestions how to get the Page 1 on my Main keyword?
Currently on page 4, place 7th.

Try some articles, Youtube videos, Digg, and Press Releases. Use your main keyword phrase in the titles. That should get you there.

Try adding some articles tp quality sites and add new content at least once a week for a few weeks. Of course there are many other ways, these are just a few that work for me.

Oke great, I'll think of translating the article on the page in english because
the site is in a foreign language written. It is possible to translate it and send
to about 10 article directories? Or do I need a unique article for every directorie?

How do I get my anchortext in a youtubevideo description? or what's the trick to do?

Press Releases? Only found paid-ones, any good quality free ones?

The site I am working on has static-content. Meaning that the content won't get updated very much. Only some changes but that's it.
I am working on a real business site for a local client of me.

Create blog yoursite.com/blog
and post smth ur biz related twice per week (your main keyword reach for sure)
submit articles to few directories with 2 links (one site.com and one site.com/blog) in body with same main keyword anchor
works for me...

I would also start to think about social networking tools. For example, Pitchengine is an excellent way to post PR releases to social networks. You can also use SocialOomph to organize regular updates on twitter, etc... lastly, I would also suggest using Ping.fm in order to do a tweet and get it to many networks.

these are some of the tools I use. Social networking traction is getting more important to google and drives clicks to your site.

Oke thanks guys for your inforamtion. Also other great methodes to gain fast backlinks or atleast page 1 google? I know alot of methodes, first try and not all of them are working great like they say they do.

Can one of you guys post some good methodes that are working for sure?
I know my competion can be beaten only don't know how?
