Usenet and spamming
Hello Everyone,
I am looking to do a small amount of spamming into usenet. What I really want to do is to post articles into multiple groups, but I don't want to site and cut and past all night. What can I use to accomplish this?
Thanks!

Re: Usenet and spamming
Nice someone still knows what Usenet is
Usenet is the WORST place to spam, its *at least* as bad as trying to place a link on wikipedia. There are many people who hate spam, and it only takes one and your hosting/site etc. is suspended. I say this from experience since a few years ago i posted a few (yes, only a few!) posts with an URL...and the next day my site got suspended. It was not even remotely close to "spamming". Its just that only one "nazi" is enough and you might be in trouble.
There are people which seem not to have anything else to do than checking posts and complaining all day, eg. double posting, spam...things like that. Just to give a heads up...
promoting via sig is reserved for donors

Re: Usenet and spamming
Yeah, torrents are nothing compared to usenet. It costs a few dollars to get a provider, but you are alays guaranteed maximum speeds (I'm downloading at 600kb/s right now) and a lot of specialist stuff is available. Plus, it's more secretive than torrents.
However, I don't understand how you might spam usenet and I don't really understand it outside the "downloading stuff" function. Do people actually read things and buy products over usenet?

Re: Usenet and spamming
Since we are comparing mine is Astraweb $15 a month where I get 16,000kb/s.
Took down a whole series of Heroes last night in h264 in less than 45 minutes.
Not sure about the retention though I have never missed anything I am after.
Definitely more economic than giganews!!
Only other thing I would say is an account with a good nzb file provider is a must as it takes all the hard work out of it. Mine is Newzbin and that is only pennies a week!!
Newzbin though have been in the High Court in London with FAST chasing their ar$e so hopefully they will still be around in the future.
In the old days we had to learn all this by hand Par, Rar, Zip, Parity files and other long fogotton software solutions that got you to the goodies .
You young bucks get it easy these days!!
