Is it me? or is it getting real difficult to earn money?

hello guys my previous post was in wrong section so it got deleted.anyways ill try to repost it.

I was a good internet entrepreneur 3 years back with earnings reaching 2000$ a month. but i left all this for 2 years and since the past year i am trying to earn online trying every fool proof method but they all have their cons. let me list few.

1) EWHORING- craiglist ends up the ads flagging as ghosts. people are also gettin smarter by the day.

2) FLIPPING:- Since recession hit, i find it very difficult to sell a moderate income and moderate traffic say, 800 Uniques a day for a decent price.. at my time we used to sell it for 500$

3)ASSOCIATE CONTENT :- Outside US.. no money paid but they will still take your articles as donation (LOL).Rest, success of articles is never guaranteed

4)AUTOMATING:- SPEND LOT OF time in making a site and getting traffic to it.. wont sell for as much amount.. people work extra hard to NOT TO click on adsense or have popup blockers installed.

5)Facebook twitter etc traffic?:- well never tried..


Due to some family problem i had to quit doing this and take care of my parents but, unfortunately, when i returned back i didnt see any possible technique working as "fool proof" as they used to earlier.

i guess biggest mistake of my life was to invest my money on sharemarket and see my money burn as it crashed.rather i shouldve invested on development on a website.

right now, i have slightly smaller aim.. like, say, around 500$ a month.Any help would be appreciated

honestly i think it is getting easier. with all of the competion getting eliminated by sources such as craigslist and myspace. it limits what others can do. but once you come up with that first idea .. well you go from there. it wont last forever of course. but just think of it as a positive thing and you will make it. seriously, in my city, there are REAL w4m ads lol. i thought about dominating it but decided tonot post anything there just in case i need that one day. so for me. its getting easier

dude.. you are having a pity party because you realize making money takes effort, so I say this with as much love as I have for fat kids.. stop posting these dumb threads and get back to work.. It is what you make it..

Since when is anything in IM "fool proof" - let me guess, you've followed a few newer methods from here word for word and find it "saturated".

Also - where can I buy good sites with 800 uv's a day for $500? I'll happily sell them for you

You mentioned website flipping so I'm guessing you can pump a website to the top of google ranks/adwords/adsense and all that SEO stuff right? Just asking cause I need someone to completely takeover my SEO operations and get the sales pumping on my site..I sell mobile phones.. PM me if you think you can help for a very competitive price..I am on a very tight budget..but I'm willing to invest 50/100$ a month for someone to look after my site. I'm already very high google rank top 1-4 pages on most keywords with about 200+ unique visitors a day..I also have youtube videos..so help pumping them would be great too..

My opinion is the hole story is getting more and more complex!
And complex is not equal to difficult
The point is, day by day new websites and therewith new possibilities to make money are created. And very important: Day by day copious quantities of people and therewith new customers are joining the internet!

So the hole thing is spreading...

As I started with IM in ancient times there was only ebay that makes me money if I remember rightly!!

Fact is, it's a fast business! So you have to jump to the next method to the right time and then jump again and...

And: Always be up to date! Get the latest IM news day by day from different sources... for example BHW!!

So don't give up...

@markh i appreciate your offer for that but i am kinda loner type and prefer working on my own.though i respect your trust,i have been deceived in the past and prefer to do my work myself without any relation to anyone.sometimes you are unable to meet the expectations.. and sometimes others are unable to meet your expectations.

@klit.. definitely man your ways of earning are way more ancient than mine... ;-) yes as i mentioned before i lost the touch to all this so i guess you can understand... its really shameful(for me) that respectable people like spud find this a useless topic.

I'm curious to know if members of this forum just did everything themselves or did you have a mentor who helped you get started?

I have a few things i'm working on and I find myself wanting to ask specific questions, but if I did that. I would give up my niche.

It's one of those things that you take risk with when asking for help. Which is probally why I'm moving slower than shit!

I completely agree with you it's getting very difficult to earn money, but as mentioned in this thread. What angles are you taking. Are you applying these same exact techniques to another niche you currently have?

I'm making about $100-$500/month profit at times, but then sometimes I'm losing money.

I'm using paid techniques though as I'm not really sure about what type of content I should put on my site for SEO and informative purposes for my niche.

You are employing short term methods. For the last 2 years instead of building some real property on the net, you went for the quick hits, now they are dying and there is nothing left. That was your first mistake.

Build some white hat blogs with good keyworded articles, backlink them, put some adsense in, tie in some twitter, facebook and linkwheel traffic. repeat.

I guess it really depends on how you define "difficult".

In general making money online is considered to be a lengthy and difficult process, there are still several 'easy' methods out there although they won't really make you thousands.

I'm doing alright by combining domaining/site flipping/advertising and selling my own products.

@tygrus i solely regret that.. youre right.. earn high money but no surety -> blackhat... earn moderate money but satisfaction ->whitehat...

Its not how high your income is, its how long it lasts.

I predict a lot of whitehatters are gonna catch up to the ewhorers and CL swindlers in the next few years.
