Default Misspelled domains - Is it worth it?

What I mean is, is it even worth trying to come up with anything at this point? It seems like every site you can think of has it's misspellings already taken.

They are worth it if you can find a great one, what your best doing, is.....

Waiting for a huge site thats going to have a lot of hype like before bebo and faceparty got so big, or like digg

If you think its going to be popular dive in

Sit for like 10 minutes in notepad.exe and type real fast for example

amazon.com sit and try and type that shit real fast in notepad around 10 times then buy the available ones.

amaozna
amazon
amaozn
amaozn
amaonz
amaon
amzon

then .com them all
Redirect it to an affiliate program if it has it and it will most likely go unnoticed.
But trust me its not worth going for a site thats stupid.

The only ones that are worth it are high traffic although some people like to buy forum typins like blackhatworldcom.com as some browsers would forward blackhatworldcom (if you type that in bar and hit enter) to blackhatworldcom.com first

i actually found a typo generator a few minutes ago and came up with some typos for 3 huge sites with tons of traffic. i wish i knew how likely it is for someone to typo those that i found still available. i was thinking of just parking them which would cost nothing and i could see what kind of traffic i'm getting. what do you think harro?

Parking them is good if its a valuable keyword in there, like debt or something.
Typo generators are good but your best typing shit in notepad yourself about 100 times trying to type in that domain. Then count which one you typed in wrong first, and buy it.
Typo generators just generate randomly, you doing it yourself you know will work

It honestly does depend on the niche of the site whether it would be worth it to park, you say its free to park, it is yes, but you could (if its a good niche) send it to some affiliate link using the free URL redirection domain registrars give, and using a seperate subid in the affiliate program to track the hits.

Dunno if domain tasting is as good as it used to be but that was a great way to tell if a misspelled domain would make nice revenue in parking. I used to park heavy back in the day, but now focused on other stuff and the game has changed quite a bit.

Try to taste them and see what if it's worth keeping and if not cancel the domain and get your money back.

I made a few hundred this past christmas was a blackfriday info typo set. I got every one I could find for the one domain and it paid off. I got close to 15 of them that hit and let the rest go back to the registrar with no deletion fees Paid $1.99 for each of the ones I kept.
Then after the blackfriday blitz I turned around and sold them for another $1200
So yeah....Turned $30 into $2400ish total after selling them within a couple weeks of regging them.
Made cash from parking them at parked com which paid pretty good at the time.
Im not big into domains as much as I use to but there is still big money in them. IMO
----edit----
As far as tasting goes....I did a little myself
snipped from current account
