Default How to find high PR forum threads?

Looking to post on high PR forums threads.

I google "powered by vbulletin [keyword]" and can see the PR of each result using the Firefox SEO toolbar from seobook dot com. Great tool.

But most PR is 0. Is there a tool that finds the high PR threads out there?

What's got more juice, a thread with relevance but PR 0 or a nonrelated (to keyword) thread with PR 3?

I don't think there's any way to know. Sorry. Today's pr0 is tomorrow's pr3. And from what I've seen, it's in effect today. But only Google knows that.

Use advanced search and set the results to 100. Then, click the little arrow at the top to order the results as per their PR (descending).

But for a search like the one you're doing, Google doesn't really have any reason to show you the juiciest pages first. It will probably try to show you posts which include the words in your search string the most. I once found a PR7 thread on results page 6, and the number 1 result on that search was a PR n/a.

Therefore, you should do a site: search on the forums that come up, even if seoquake says they're PR0. That way you can check if there are any juiciy pages you're missing. Sure, they will be less relevant, but you can counteract that slightly by encasing your links in a thick paragraph of text related to your niche.

So, leave a link on every relevant page, no matter what the PR. Then, do a site: search to get a juice boost as-well. When you find a link source, harvest it. Sure, you may not want too many links from the same IP going to your one site, but if you're into blackhat you should have loads of sites. I always harvest a link source for all my sites so nothing is wasted.

if you find high pr forum do a search for

site:domain.com

this way the home page and all useless sub pages are listed, but you'll find just a few threads you can actualy post to.
the home page and these subdirectories are actually useless to us because you can`t post to them. they just list more subcatagorys or the most recent threads.

if you wat to digg deeper you should take a look and find a folders in the url where all forum threads are located.
usualy you wil see something like "domain.com/showthread.php?56254" as the url for threads you can actualy post to. some others are "domain.com/board/threadname" or "domain.com/discuss/threadname"

if you found the thread folder in the url, do a search for

site:domain.com inurl:showthread

now you got a list of 100 threads to which you can post..

if you are lucky you hit 20 pr pages, but if its a big forum you probaly stil hit just a few high pr threads and most of them have to many posts and folowing pages to be of use for link building.

now we will search even deeper and find those gems with pr, a few posts and just a few outbound links.

find a few keywords that are used a lot on the forum u are investigating and do a search for

site:domain.com inurl:showthread intitlel:keyword

now you wil find a few new threads with pr and with your keyword in the title..
do this search with about 10 different keywords which are used a lot on the forum and in the end you will have a nice list of high pr threads with a few post and just a few outbound links on which you can leave your links

take an hour to learn the search commands you can use in google. like inurl: intitle: and site:
there are a lot more commands and all of them can be used to digg deeper and find more targeted results.

using search engines to their full potential is an art in itself.

I also highly reccomend using the seo quake pligin instead of the seobook plugin for this.

the quake plugin wil let you sort the serp listings according to pr..

i use both plugins, but both of them have different uses for me.
