Are Profile Backlinks Still working for you?

Are you still seeing results using profile backlinks? Me personally i am not seeing the results i once was. I think they are becoming less effective. What are other people thoughts?

I would like to know this as I just read a manual the other day all about profile backlinks and which sites to use and how to find them.

I think its still working. I have got a pretty good ranking with very competitive keywords on this method.

i had built a lot of links for one of my sites, and google only show 5 links as backlinks one of which is a profile link. i believe in it.

If you guys are not talking about forum Profiles, then yes, it is still working. Both my Clients' and my backlinks increase almost everyday in Backlinkwatch.com

use linkwheel if your not satisfied anymore. The key there is get a lot of links from different method. Schedule your worker or yourself in building links.

Monday- angela/paul- forum posting, web 2.0 profiles, etch.
Tuesday- linkwheel
Wednesday - article submission
Thursday- link directory sub
Friday - blog commenting

Its just a tip if you think you need some other source of links. But if your think profile links works for you better then continue your journey and don't bother doing any other method. Cheers!

Almost every link is efective, but it MUST be indexed by Google. It's no problem to make 1000's of links. The problem is to make them indexed.

There are a lot of ways to index this kind of links. Some job can be done by good known and popular solutions, but the most efective are your own solutions and tools.

For best long term result, you should mix all kind of backlinks just like r.arbuis said. This way, if one loses its effectiveness, you still have the power of the others.

Yeah i agree diversification in your backlinking campaigns help a lot. This is how you really fly up the ranking. Google seems to love links from different properties.
