Default Question on backlinks

Hi Guys,

I have a question on back links that go back to your site, if i post a link on a site that is just my url www.mysite.com and on others i post an anchor link <ahref="www.mysite.com">My Keyword</a>

will just my site url boost me in the SERPS or does it specifically need to be anchor text?

Thanks guys

Graham

You must always get anchor text if you can. Google uses anchor text to determine what to rank you for.

http links will help you a little - and having a few of them also makes you look more natural, so grab them if you can get them, they are worth something.

However, if you have a choice, always go for anchor text.

I think that if you post you site url it will boost your keywords aswell, just not as much as if you use a anchor text.
When you use a anchor text you try to only give juice to that keyword.

But correct me if im wrong

Edit: damn you beat me to it

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the reply, as i suspected go for anchor text eh? i was going to do a small xrumer blast with a new domain, i can put the URL in the registered profiles no problem , getting the anchor text is slighly more difficult to stick.

thanks a lot guys

Choose good anchor text but I have found if you add diversity you'll rank better long term. ie My Anchor, Over here, this is it, the site i was talking about, my other anchor etc etc.
