It all depends on what type of your traffic your after, what your niche is and the most imortant of all how well your landing page converts because this is where most people get it wrong and blame the traffic source when they should be looking at their copy.
you also need to think your strategy through, l offer 5000 free leads in this forum but it will not mean immediate traffic, so we need more information really before we can advise you.
You could and should think it through before you start because if you can get it right then you'll actually get the targeted traffic you want and get paid for it at the same time, let me give you an example of what l do.........
lets say we are decided on the niche of weight loss and l want to go after traffic for the term weight loss.........
l would look no further than ppc with the smaller search engines, l have several accounts with goclick but as they have now been taken over you would have to use another ppc that has cheap priced traffic, all you do is to insert ppc search engines in google and it will come up with as many as you need.
so you picked your niche, picked your search term which is weight loss, now you go and purchase some of the traffic in a ppc but before you start the campagin you do your testing to see how much you have to pay to get on the first page, most of the ppc will show you this beore you start your campagin.
the next stage all depends if your site is an adsense website or not. If its adsense then you have to play by the rules and play safe , l prefer not to use adsense then l can use every trick in the book to get me traffic.
first thing l would do is to use the haveads software and produce my own affilliate ads or for my own products, but certainly wou;d leave two prime spots open and put in advertise your website here for 75usd per month, you'll find that you will get plenty of takers especially if you visit google and look at all of the people on the first twp pages of google for your search term, just send them a quick email pointing out they can cut the costs of their advertising with a prime spot on your website, most will ignore you so start with but you will get some takers and as you page begins to get near the top of theppc and is driving traffic for you, contact them again and you'll get more takers that brings your advertising costs down and means people are paying to join your lists.
