You can paste as many as you want, however there is a delay between each ping which is right now 10 seconds, so if you choose to paste a list of 100 URL's you'll have to wait 100 x 10 seconds.

Pingoat is another that I've used - claims to do 50 sites, but probably not much different to those here. It has an XML-RPC interface though, so's quite good for automation...

I can just see me getting caned for this, but.... Do i need to have registered my blog with all the 20 or so sites these pages ping for this to work?

No you don't need to be registered just paste your list of URLs and click the submit button.

The second ping site didn't give me confirmation of pinging my urls so I backed up and pinged a couple of more times and then the screen says, "Slow down cowboy. Your pings were successful but if you're not sure ping again."

There was a free automated one which checked your site and pinged changes that was recommended here a long time ago I could never remember the name of it.

You can't ping the same url more than once a day and you can't ping invalid links

That's weird, I didn't ping those URLs earlier in the day and they were valid.

I thought I would give this a shot but seems nothing is working, site may still have server problems!. If anyone else has success please post and let us know.

I pinged ~1k sites yesterday to test it out. Some I knew I havent pinged before, but it never said ping sent. Some are not just my URLs (link wheels, ect) so they may have been pinged already. But a lot of urls did get pinged.

I have just used Pingler and ping device and i find them to be very awesome. Great post and thanks for the amazing tip.

The script is outdated right now. I will work and update the script soon.
