How can I do this with Scrapebox? Or another solution?
I currently am using Scrapebox to verify mass amounts of URL's for specific strings of code in the sourcecode.
I am using the "comment poster" with "check link" enabled.
In the "website" section, i have the text file containing the string i am looking for (in this case "010165")
In the "blog" section i have the text file that contains all of the URL's to check.
Here is my problem...
On some projects it works perfectly well because the string can be found in the source code on the frontpage.
But on some projects, the source code is found in a frame.
Scrapebox only analyses the frontpage but does not follow the frame source.
Here is an example: gastricbypassdoctors (dot) net
The frame source can be seen in the source code on the frontpage:
<frame src="gastricbypassdoctors (dot) net?epl=5Ry_lurXih5GC0qbOdj9dzgCRmmChMIpkrv4U4W-jwyDFo17QLGWIyZGlejLbdwMxcgNDqnpMUdSD773Jp59s5ESJj TqwKRarsbybWGYKt6ctAXXCqEpcH84Zggdl2w3fqy5ijLCKos1 F8kzWcLCwq3yJO6aTXW0m8XXhO1Ye_S10tBAk0b91PRo1EjT9F OVAOrRNGQAGg0ZqgSVACCw3u-_AADgfwUAAECAWwwAAEfAKE1ZUyZZQTE2aFpCuQAAAPA" name="gastricbypassdoctors (dot) net">
The string I am looking for is inside the frame but i can't seem to access it using scrapebox.
By right clicking on the page, i can choose the frame source to view and i can see the string i am looking for in the frame.
Is there a way that scrapebox can follow the frame source so i can find that string?
Or any other suggestions would be appreciate.
Thanks in advance!
Re: How can I do this with Scrapebox? Or another solution?
Use the page scanner addon.
The link checker is designed to only look for links and strings in general, but it assumes that links is the primary use. The page scanner will analyze a page for any string/footprint and it will even look in the html source code, which the link checker will not do.
I tried it, but I couldn't find that number string even when manually viewing the source code of the frame that you were looking for. I am not 100% certain its going to load the frame source, in fact I don't think it will. However the page scanner is the most robust option for what your trying to accomplish.
